Welcome to Kommune Qeqertalik

To help ensure positive experiences for both visitors and local residents, Community Guidelines have been developed for tourism in Kommune Qeqertalik. These guidelines are based on input from residents across the municipality’s towns and reflect the values and considerations that local communities wish to uphold.

The Community Guidelines outline how visitors can travel and stay within the municipality while showing respect for local people, Greenlandic culture, nature, and local businesses. Their purpose is to foster positive interactions between guests and communities and to support the responsible and sustainable development of tourism.

As a visitor, you are encouraged to show consideration for people, culture, and the environment, follow local guidance, and contribute to preserving the unique natural and cultural heritage that defines Kommune Qeqertalik. By respecting these guidelines, you help ensure that both present and future generations can continue to enjoy the area’s distinctive qualities.

We hope your visit will be a rewarding and memorable experience, and we wish you an enjoyable stay in Kommune Qeqertalik.
