Uunartuarsuup Qaqqaa, is a striking natural wonder that beckons adventure seekers to conquer its lofty peak. Located in a remote and pristine wilderness, Uunartuarsuup Qaqqaa offers a unique and awe-inspiring hiking experience.
The hiking route to Uunartuarsuup Qaqqaa is marked with a vivid blue color, guiding hikers on their journey. The terrain is a true testament to nature’s grandeur. Hikers will encounter steep sections that demand both physical endurance and mental determination. In these steep sections, you might even find yourself using your hands to help climb the rugged terrain. Additionally, some parts of the trail feature loose rocks, making the ascent and descent even more challenging and adding an element of adventure to the experience.
The trail spans a distance of 11 kilometers, taking hikers through a diverse range of landscapes and natural features. Along the way, the trail reveals its hidden treasures, including breathtaking views of cascading waterfalls that seem to flow from the heavens, sparkling snowfields that glisten under the Arctic sun, and pristine wilderness that stretches as far as the eye can see. What to bring & know
- Bring your water bottle and snacks with you. We recommend you to hike in the morning and have a lunch on top of the mountain (carry lunch).
- Use goretex boots.
- Bring mosquito net during the summer and use sunscreen.
- You should let someone know that you are hiking. For safety reasons we recommend you to hike with another person.
- Chech the weather forecast before you go: DMI, yr, windy,
- Use the toilet before you go – there are no facilities on the trail.
- Do not litter. Bring every litter with you.
- Do not make any new hiking routes, use excisting hiking routes.
- Protect the environment. Do not built new cairns and not disturbing existing ones.
